Subway Train Ride

We bought the M Pass and took the subway to Gangnam Station > bus no. 5002 to a bus terminal station > Everland shuttle Bus
  • Seoul's Subway Map. (And we thought Singapore's one is complex)
  • The ride and transfer to Everland was very fast and pleasant.
  • A very helpful young lady helped up bought all our M Pass tickets, top them up and send us our the gantry. (When they help...they help all the way)
  • We were quite shocked that she insisted us that we do not need to buy the pass for the kids.
  • Later during the trip, we realised, whether bus or trains, they were not strict or fussy to make it payable for the kids. SO NICE!!! Pro-family!! WE should do same!!!

Everland Resort Amusement Park (Summer)

  • Must take the classic family pic at a Themepark entrance.
  • Was immediately attracted and MUS BUY by their cute popcorn containers. Tiger & Elephant.
  • Pics with Everland Mascots and Vibrant "Little Mermaid" type of background.

Pororo 3D Adventure Show

  • 1st show to watch was the Pororo 3D show!
  • Pororo is Myn's fav character and originated from Korea.
  • Dear invented the Pororo 3 clap cheers with the kids.
  • Was a pre-show live program before watching the actual 3D show.
  • Cartoon story and 3D effect okie. Was good enough for the kids. Boring for adults. (Anyway....we are here FOR THE KIDS)
Zootopia Zone
We first headed to the Zootopia Zone. Thinking to take the Safari World bus ride which I took more than 10 yrs ago when I 1st came on a 8days Korea trip with my mum.

Zootopia is only part of Everland, not as big as a proper zoo but has a good collection of animals. (White tiger, Seals, Zebra, owls, etc and many other small size animals).
However, it was a rainy day. The rain came in showers and heavy and we had to run, hide and stop for shelters several time throughout the day.
The main attractions in Zootopia are it's petting zoo, Bird Paradise, Friendly Monkey Valley, Lost Valley, Amazon Express ride and Safari World ride. We only managed to cover Lost Valley (1hr+ Q) and see some animals along the way. =oS.

Below are some pics of the animals we took during the Lost Valley ride.

After the 1hr+ Q @ Lost Valley, we aren't interested to Q for rides anymore. We were a bit tired and hungry and we spend the rest of the time there taking photos for memories instead. =o)

We headed down to The Four Seasons Garden of Everland  which is decorated with beautiful flowers arranged in a French garden style. Surrounded by Holland-style architecture, the gardens are the stage for seasonal flower festivals (tulips from April to June, lilies from July to August, and chrysanthemums from September to October). At nights, there are supposed to be laser and musical fountain shows in this area.

The Q for Festival Train is short so we went for it!

Walking up the spiral.....

Our JUMP Shoots!!!

Ready.........
   1...2...333!!! Everybody JUMP!!!

My dad DID the JUMP too!!! (And he found the trick. Jump off from the fountain instead)

 Dear & I continues!!!
Mel wanna somemore!!!
Happy & Satisfied after the jumps. My legs still around.

Summer Splash Parade

It was 5.00pm and we happened to pass by right at the start gate of the Summer Splash parade!!!
It was quite refreshing & interesting when we were all tired and about to end the day. It wasn't really in my plan to see the parade but just nice the timing and we were in the opening route of it!

Mel - Enjoyed watching the parade's dances and water sprays
Miu - Attracted and likes the green jelly fish umbrella
Myn - Enjoyed the show....slouching in her pram.

We then continue to the Rose Garden for photo-taking and the theme for this season is Madagascar.

A ride we always take at all themeparks we go......

And came a heavy downpour again.....this time we got a little wet......
Everyone is tired so......decided to call it for a day. We head to the exit whenever the rain got smaller.

A pity we din cover a lot of the themepark because of the weather.....think only 50%? =o1
But definitely it is one of the best and biggest themepark we have been and would wana come back for it again.

At the bus station, we saw flashes of threatening lightning and everybody went wah................everybody was hoping that the bus comes quick (n get a seat) and 'siam' the next downpour.

Before the bus arrives, Myn fell asleep, Miu 'informed' us she wants to zzz, Mel seems oki still.

It was very crowded on the bus. No seats. Two ladies allowed Miu to squeeze with them and within few minutes...she fell asleep in awkward position. LOL!!!

Below are some pics randomly taken at Everland.

Cheonggyecheon Stream
Cheonggyecheon river is 8.4km long and located in downtown Seoul, Korea. During the past 40  years Cheonggyecheon river had been covered up, neglected and a highway was built over it. In July 2003, then Seoul Mayor, Lee Myung-bak initiated a restoration project which took 2 years to complete and cost over 386 billion won. This was criticised at the time but now locals and tourists enjoy the river everyday.
*Can get a clearer map from tourist kiosk.

<<Pic of map>>

We were refreshed after a good warm shower (the 3 gals had fun tub time in our room) back in the hotel and decided to come out for dinner (simple local restaurant opp hotel).

After that, we walked down 10 mins to Cheonggyecheon stream.

See...the kids are already in their PJs. Ha!

  • Laser light art but we missed the Laser story show.
  • Dear and Dad trying their luck at the wishing well. We got a few in! Hope everyone wishes come true! =O)
This is a stream popular among their locals (esp couple) to come by for a relaxing stroll, dip their feet in the stream (esp in hot season) and chill, during the day/after work or dinner.

Mel is excited and wanted to have a dip of her feet in the running water like the people are doing there but as usual, my not so adventurous dear did not allow her to do so. Spoil fun.

Next morning...we shall come again......
