Korea Day 5 (Namdaemun Market > Lotte World)

Today is another themepark-focused day!

 

Before heading to Lotte World, we went to Nandaemum Market ....where we lost each other because we took different taxis and our taxi driver is damn irresponsible (long story). Luckily, we managed to find each other very soon.

 

Nandaemum Market

Hoehyeon Station (회현역) – Line 4, exit 5

 

At the market, we had our breakfast at a random restaurant. (Onion seafood pancake, Soup, Porridge, Udon, Chicken Stew with Korean ricecake). The kids were not in the mood to eat much so Dear went out to buy Pororo Buns for the girls

Namedaemun Market is supposed to be one of the most popular place for tourist as it has tons of random goodies including ginseng, mountain climbing gear, kids wear, beddings, camera parts, and cheap eye wear.  

 

However, the things sold there somehow do not appeal to us. So it will just a short walk and off we go to LOTTE WORLD!!!

 

 

LOTTE WORLD

Located in the heart of the city, Lotte World is a very popular venue for entertainment and sightseeing. It is a theme park filled with thrilling rides, an ice rink, different kinds of parades as well as a folk museum, a lake, and much more.

 

At the subway station to Lotte World, Disney Channel was doing a promotion and there featuring were all the kid's fav characters!

 The girls were thrilled and did endless photo-pose for pics. They also got a tattoo and stickers from the event. 

 

 

 

 WELCOME TO LOTTE WORLD!

 

Here, we used the 15% of Lotte World tickets coupons which we found in some Korea trip brochures. It was quite some savings for a group of 6 paying pax like us. =O)

When we entered the park, timing was just nice and we were greeted by the RIO SAMBA PARADE! It was about a 15mins parade. Vibrant! Entertaining! Impressive!

 

 

 

The girls joined the dance but did not dance. ha!

 

The kids took several kiddy rides. Below is the ride that Miu extremely enjoyed and Mel extremely scared.....LOL. Their expressions then were priceless!

From the indoor to the outdoor section....

 

 

Again...another ride that made one extremely happy and the other sad. Miu has not reach the height requirement.

 

Everyone was melting under the sun..so we need something that melts in our mouth..;)

 

We walked thru the park without taking much rides cause many were not suitable for kids below 7 or the Qs were too long.

 

If to choose between Everland & Lotte World.....other than travelling time...I would much prefer Everland.

My mum dropped her purse on the taxi after making payment and got off. She did not notice it cause it was black.

We had a great day.....but do we have to end it like this? =oS We had a frantic night and feeling lost. While I shower and settle the kids to bed, Danny accompanied my mum to make a report at the hotel front office to see if they could assist or advise in any way.

The very next morning...my mum came over to my room and told me that last nite........the taxi driver drove back to a nearby police station of our hotel and returned the wallet!!! Oh my, we were so grateful to the taxidriver. Another kindness act we experienced during this trip.

Lesson learnt for my mum....be more careful and NO MORE BLACK PURSE, Yes..the next wallet she bought is a bright red! LOL.
