Malacca (May 2011)

Today 4th May: Another throwback blog of a drive-in Malacca trip in May 2011.

Little Mel amused by the little jackfruits.
At the main historical monuments Malacca.
We were staying at Mahkota Hotel suite but did not take any pics there. Must be too busy managing the kids.

At the Melaka Mall a street across our hotel, the kids were thrilled with their balloon buys....which went deflated and floating on the floor the very next day.
Happily running naked with the balloon in the hotel. Think photos are blur enough to censor the nessaries. LOL
A walk at the Jonker street. Having fun on the animal statues near a toilet.
We took some time to identify the red pillar and found the very famous chicken rice ball of Malacca. The rice wasn't that impressive but the assam fish we ordered was good.
After leaving Malacca maintown, we drove to our next destination......A'Farmosa.
We were all excited to go cause it seemed from reviews and websites, not to miss A'Farmosa for it's themeparks.

Our suite room........it's a newly built low condominium. Not easy to find the place as there were several hotels and remotely far within the whole bigA'Farmosa compound.

First themepark we went, was the SAFARI WONDERLAND.
We watched a cowboy show and went through an area where you get up close with gentler animals like peacock, deers, rabbits, ponies, etc. We din explore much of the park,...cant remember why..most prob cause it was too hot. We gave the cruise to the Monkey Island a miss too..fearing that the monkeys there be too wild for the kids.

Really din have much memories of the place except the Farmhouse enclosures where it housed quite many different breads of the rabbits and fowl family.

This is the chick house that was most memorable for us and Mel. It was torturing stuffy warm inside but I guess it's comfort temperature for the chicks.

Mel was excited to be surrounded by thousands of cute little fluffs, being allowed to touch, handle and feed them.

Look at her grinning from ear to ear.
She is so happy but we were quite concerned that she might get overexcited or clumsy that she may mishandled the chicks or trip and squash on them. It will be OMG sinful.

In the evening, we went to the OLD WEST themepark.
We din go for the show cause it didn't seem interesting. We just walked around, pony ride and some pics.

Honest personal review - Dining choices in A'Farmosa is very limited and expensive. And not nice.-_-
Themeparks were run down too. It was a good trip for us overall but will not come back to A'Farmosa again unless there is a big revamp.

Otw back to Spore, we just stopped by one of the shopping malls in JB.

Random pics of the trip.
